In 2021, we are offering funding through a Targeted Small Grants Program (TSG Program). At least $4 million will be available for grants for innovative fresh food retail and food system enterprises that seek to improve access to healthy food in underserved areas.
Grants will range from $20,000 to $200,000.
Grants could assist projects with a variety of aspects of retail or enterprise development, renovation, and expansion. The grants will be one-time investments of capital into a food retail or food enterprise project in order to address higher costs and initial barriers to entry in underserved areas across the country.
An informational webinar well be held Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 2 – 3 PM ET. The webinar will include a walk-through of how to apply online using the grants portal, as well as an overview of information about the HFFI Targeted Small Grants program opportunity and application.
